Ceilings are In!!
The Sixth Dimension (4 walls + floor + ceiling) is the new decorating style trick. White ceilings are out--textured wallpapered ceilings are in. Use the idea in a small powder room with a whimsical Rifle animal pattern on the walls and ceiling or in between ceiling beams or as a continuation of wallpaper on the walls or as a textured antidote to smooth painted walls. The applications are unlimited. Use dark or light colors, heavy or smooth texture, pattern or no pattern. A cost-effective way to mimic a custom high-end application is to use paintable wallpaper in a tin ceiling pattern and paint it using semi-gloss paint.
