Look at our Alocasia Gageana!! She has grown so much and keeps growing! Her newest leaves are just getting bigger and bigger! 2nd pic was when we first got her which was 6 months ago!!

Happy Halloween 🎃👻

Here’s Groot keeping our Syngonium Erythrophyllum happy. She’s even sporting a very festive bloody colored leaf. I love it.

We hope everyone’s having a nice holiday and keeping safe. This year we’re just keeping it low key with our little one. He might even get a piece of chocolate today…..maybe 😅

We have changed the way we amend our soil, to help make it more airy. I don’t have any exact percentages but here we used potting soil that contains mycorrhizae, coco coir, orchid bark, charcoal, perlite, worm castings, and added some mosquito bits to help prevent fungus gnats. We love the way it turned out.

This thin leaf, thin stem beauty is a Ficus umbellata. We’ve actually had her for several months but like her cousin Ficus lyrata, she took a bit of adjusting to finally get her happy.

I first had her under a grow light with several other plants thinking she’d be OK, and I was tricked. She gave me a new leaf but it was sooo much smaller than the previous. So I moved her by an east facing window, but off to the side. Then after some time, no leaf growth. Then finally it occurred to me, why not treat her like her cousin entirely and give her a spot next to them. So she moved about a month or so ago in front of an east facing window, and she’s been so happy. She’s given me 2 new leaves since! I’m so glad we were able to find a good place for her because I find her leaves to be so beautiful and would love for her to grow into a mini tree.

If you’re thinking about adding her to your collection, just remember to do as you would a lyrata, but with more frequent waterings.

Another wish list plant has joined us!! Philodendron White Princess. Her leaves get these white streak variegation that’s just beautiful!! She’s a baby, and I’m so excited to watch her grow!! Ugh super obsessed with this one. She’s in our glass greenhouse getting acclimated, and so far so good!

Appreciate friends who support your small business because those don’t come often! We were gifted this Monstera Standleyana Albo from one of our closest friends. This is a cutting she propagated from the mother plant and rooted before sending her to us. Isn’t she beautiful?!
