Our Localscapes class for the spring is already here!
Saturday, Feb 24th at 9am
This 3-hour course will teach you how to apply landscape principles correctly to ensure you achieve all the benefits a Localscape provides. This class covers the five steps in detail. Within the 5 steps, you will learn landscape layout, irrigation basics, planting, and maintenance. Instruction will cover 2 to 2.5 hours followed by questions. This class will be taught by our Conservation Manager, David Rice, and the Learning Garden Lead, Tyelar Haines. We have been partners in Localscapes since its beginning and love sharing these principles with you. If you can't come in person, there is an online version of this class found through www.localscapes.com.

Bring your divided plants to share!!!

This class will involve short instruction and presentation inside followed by a demonstration in the Garden of how to divide and transplant perennials, grasses, and how to deal with trees and shrubs depending on their size. We would invite you to bring divisions or plants from your yard to exchange with other class attendees and make this an enjoyable learning experience while potentially sending you home with some new plant starts for your yard. We will cover briefly the planting of fall bulbs as well. This class will also include some of the general things to do before winter and what to do to protect some of your more tender plants from the cold. This will be really fun, don’t miss it. In-person class only.

It will soon be time to sign up for your 2023 garden plots. If you gardened with us last year, you have until April 1, 2023 to sign up for your preferred plots. (You may only sign up for two plots until after April 30th.) If you are new to the garden, the sign-ups begin April 1st.
