Construction is often the phase people look forward to the least—the dust, the endless decisions, and the inevitable delays. But when I walk through a space like this, I see beyond all of that.

I see future holiday gatherings, quiet morning coffees, family celebrations, and the countless memories waiting to be made. Those moments are what keep us moving forward through every challenge of the process.

We’re not quite there yet, but each day brings us closer to enjoying the view—and everything that comes with it.

This window seat is still a work in progress — not quite perfect yet — but that’s the beauty of thoughtful design. Layer by layer, detail by detail, we’re creating a space that feels as good as the view looks.

For years, I’ve driven by these university gates without a second thought—just another college (or so I thought) that we passed in route to market.

But this last time felt different. I took notice. I wrote down the name and mentioned it to our son. I had no expectations, just wanted him to explore.

Our oldest is getting ready to head off to college this fall (😢) and somehow, out of all the places he could land… it’s here. The same place I’ve passed by so many times, now holding a completely new meaning. And I could be happier on so many levels. is no doubt going to become his home away from home and let me tell you — what is beyond those gates is simply incredible.

As a parent, there’s a mix of emotions I don’t think you can fully prepare for—pride, excitement, a little disbelief. Watching him step into this next chapter feels big in all the ways.

And on the business side, it adds something unexpected and incredibly special. Market trips will look a little different now. They’ll still be full of sourcing, meetings, and inspiration—but they’ll also come with the gift of getting to see my kiddo in his new world. 💜 🤗 💜

If I’m being honest… I’d much rather be behind the camera than in front of it.

Give me the finished spaces, the details, the layers coming together—that’s where I’m most at home. That’s the part I love to share.

But here’s the thing: great design doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

It’s not just about what you see in the final reveal. It’s the conversations, the problem-solving, the relationships with trusted vendors and craftsmen, the constant pivoting, refining, and advocating behind the scenes that bring a project to life.

So while stepping in front of the camera may never feel completely natural, it matters. Because knowing who is behind the work—and the depth of expertise, collaboration, and care that goes into it—matters just as much as the end result.

Design is personal. And so are we. We value the relationships we have built with trusted partners like (who expertly captured this video) and and so many more. They elevate the designs that start in my head and we are so grateful for it.

The most beautiful spaces are never created alone. Perfect example - today we had the pleasure of spending time with — a local resource (🤗) that we are so happy to have a partnership with for our Greenwich project.

Part of design “magic” is aligning with the right people and the vendors that you can look at as a parter. Because behind every finished room is a network of incredible vendors—workrooms, upholsterers, millworkers, painters, installers—who we collaborate with to bring the vision to life with precision, patience, and pride. They are not just part of the process… they are an extension of our design business.

The relationships we build with our vendors matter. Trust, communication, and mutual respect are what turn a good project into an exceptional one. When you have partners who care as much about the details as you do, it shows in every seam, every finish, every final reveal.

Great design is collaborative. And the strongest partnerships are the foundation of everything we create.
