Round 3! For all you paperclip haters ๐Ÿ˜† how about a staple? And because I couldn't help myself...washi tape and a leaf, lol? I'm loving reading all the feedback, it's been very helpful.

Ok folks, round two. Thanks so much for all the great thoughts on the design with the last post. The internet is very torn on the paperclip ๐Ÿ˜ It's like "is the dress blue?"

When I post these I'll also add text to the body of the post, plus a link to the page on the website. I like these for people potentially being able to share a quick snippet about a plant. Plus bonus: these are in stock right now, woot!

Trying to come up with a design for sharing more about New England native plants. It's been hard to post on social media as we are owner-operated and flat-out this time of year. These I can make ahead of time all in one swoop and post when I have a minute.

Hard to read? Too much info on an image? The real question is...the paperclip...too much? My teenager says for sure too much. lol.

When you stop in this weekend look for our plug packs of wild strawberry, Fragaria virginiana. Great for ground cover, as a lawn replacement, and anywhere you want a little cheer. Pretty happy sun to shade and dry to moist soils. This is in my yard, really I plant it everywhere, and you can see that pile of oak leaves I never raked away was no problem for this cheery little plant. Oh and the berries are tasty but often wildlife will beat you to it.

Grown from seed right here in Norwell, in peat-free certified-organic soils. โค๏ธ

Welcome to Blue Stem Natives!

We're so glad you're here โ€” and with more new customers than ever this year, we wanted to share a quick note on how we work.

We're a native-plants-only nursery carrying 400+ species, and our inventory is always changing. We grow a lot of our own plants and bring in new stock constantly, so every visit looks a little different. Some plants we carry reliably; others are rare and show up when they show up. Unlike a clothing store, we can't keep a back room full of extras โ€” plants are ready when they're ready! (I'm looking at you lupine, hard to grow and impossible to source the true native species).

You can order online or come in to shop. Our best tip: come in with an open mind. If we're out of what you had in mind, ask us โ€” we love helping people find something they didn't know they needed. You might go home with a new favorite.

๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ

Quick answers before you reach out:
We truly love hearing from you, but we are owner-operated and receive a huge amount of "is/when is [plant] available?" messages a day and can't always respond. Answering these takes a surprising amount of our day. Good news โ€” you probably don't need to wait on us!

"IS IT in stock?"
Check bluestemnatives.com/plants, or even better, use a quicker cheat-sheet to see current stock (updated only on Mondays) and what's arriving in the next two weeks. https://tinyurl.com/bsninstock

"WHEN WILL it be back in stock?"
On the website plants page, add your email to get a restock notification for any plant you're watching. (It doesn't reserve the plant โ€” just automatically gives you a heads up when it goes into inventory.) If you REALLY need to know when a specific species will be in stock feel free to email us.

We hope to see you soon!

It's up-potting season! ๐ŸŒฑ Our seedlings are graduating from the semi-protected greenhouse and are settling into their new, roomier homes outside. Thanks to our trusty pot-filling machine from .pro, we can move through this process relatively quickly and get more plants growing for you.
