From our friends on the cape, keep an eye on your trees this spring and call us with any of your tree care needs.

It's that time of year! Emerging and feasting on the leaves of our earliest budding trees (many of our ornamental trees!) are wintermoth larvae. Watch and marvel as these tiny insects grow almost fast enough to watch, while they munch the freshly budding foliage. (With the current spring conditions,we feel one can expect a fair amount of gypsy moth larva activity.)

Our team is not currently equipped to be treating trees for defoliating caterpillars, but we would be happy to refer our clients to one of the many qualified applicators in our area to protect your trees!

Some years ago, a man had to start from the ground up again —he had nothing but wild stories and big dreams. Dennis was a staple in this community, an Island celebrity, a true local legend. He made us laugh, he made us want to pull our hair out, but mostly, he made us a part of his family. Tabor Tree is more than an island company. It’s the manifestation of the Promises, and Lost Dreams Awakened. Dennis will be remembered as the Shepard, dragging people to the Early Bird Meeting. He was proud of his sobriety and wanted to save lives. He was an amazing human being who will be sorely missed.
We intend on carrying on Dennis’s legacy. Tabor Tree will continue to deliver just as Dennis did, because that’s what he would have wanted. And we will tell his stories for the rest our days.
RIP Dennis, you will live on in Tabor Tree.

At Tabor Tree we use a variety felling techniques to ensure no damage is done to our clients property. One such technique is the tongue and groove cut also known as the key notch, it is the ideal cut to avoid targets around the base of the tree.
