🚨 Kansas City / Northland Storm Update 🚨
Seeing a lot of posts tonight showing large hail across the metro — some reports are showing 2–4 inch hail in areas like 64151, 64154, and 64155. The photos floating around look about the size of golf balls to baseballs, which can absolutely cause damage to roofs, siding, gutters, and window screens.
If your home was in the storm path tonight, here are a few things to keep in mind:
✔️ Do NOT rush to file an insurance claim yet
✔️ First confirm there is actual storm damage
✔️ Many impacts are not visible from the ground
Common signs to check for tomorrow:
• Dents in gutters or downspouts
• Soft bruising on shingles
• Granules collecting near downspouts
• Damaged siding or window screens
