I am currently undertaking a small bathroom renovation project. The project involved demolishing the outdated yellow tub and partial wall above it, followed by the removal of the paneling vanity and toilet, which were then loaded onto a trailer for disposal. Upon completion of the demo, I proceeded to install a new tub, connecting the necessary plumbing and shower valve. Due to the wind, the storm door became detached from the main entrance and required reinstallation. I used 3-inch decking screws to secure the brick molding to the frame, tapping it into place to eliminate the gap. The door was then reinstalled to cover the previous screws. The client requested that I replace an old wood window with a new vinyl one, commencing with demolition of the existing window. Following the demo, I performed some back framing work to adjust the rough opening to 3ft wide by 4ft tall for the larger window and 2ft wide by 3ft tall for the smaller one. I applied a bead of silicone around the framing and installed the window, ensuring it was centered. The window was secured using roofing nails, and window tape was applied around the perimeter. The exterior was trimmed with 1x4 PVC, cut to size and secured with stainless steel nails. Internally, I used 1x4 primed material to construct frames and door casing.
