There’s a reason Homestead Purple Vervain has been a garden favorite around here for years. 💜

You may also see it called Homestead Purple Verbena, but whatever you call it, this perennial is one tough little bloomer. It loves sunshine, tolerates heat and dry conditions once established, and spreads into a low-growing blanket covered in rich purple flowers.

The large mum hanging baskets are starting to show off! When you’re choosing mums, don’t overlook the ones still covered in tight buds. Those buds mean you have plenty of flowers still to come, and with regular watering and plenty of light, you can enjoy that color as they continue opening.
