Our Story

Jerome is originally from Switzerland and Mari from Venezuela. Jerome’s mom lived in Japan and introduced the bonsai culture to Jerome’s life. He picked up the hobby when he moved to the USA in 2007. Jerome and Mari met in Florida in 2015, as Mari was finishing her Master in Business Administration. One day, Jerome decided to go backpacking to China to find a supplier to bring bonsai pots, and tools for his personal use, as there were not many suppliers around them. The first shipment came around, and everything got sold between bonsai friends. Quickly, Jerome realized there was a need for supplies, and with the help of Mari started The Bonsai Supply in 2016.

Currently, they offer their products on Amazon, Etsy, eBay, and their store in Fort Lauderdale. Jerome’s trees have been featured in Bonsai Focus Magazine 2019, Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2019 & 2020, and different bonsai Exhibitions in the past years. He continues to grow in the art, next to Mari’s strategic marketing for the business. Husband and wife team that is ready to spread the bonsai word!
