Wrapping up an inspiring few days High Point Market ✨ held in High Point, North Carolina and known as the largest home furnishings show in the world.

This massive event takes over the town and you can feel the energy the minute you arrive. Thousands of brands pull out all the stops, and designers show up in force rocking their unique fashions. It’s a feast for the eyes on many levels 🤩

I’m leaving with fresh ideas, incredible new vendor connections, and so much momentum for upcoming projects. I also
connected with dear old friends and made meaningful new bonds.

It has been educational, fun and a necessary creative reset all rolled into one.

Special thanks to my design community for being the best home base (and the best pals). And thanks to for feeding this designer’s soul.

I’ve always said that this picture that sits on my desk captures the happiest day of my life. It was taken 21 years ago today when you came into our world and changed us forever.

The joy you have brought us since is immeasurable. It’s so cool to be your Mom. So rewarding. I love you, and I respect and deeply admire you as a person. It’s amazing to see you seizing life, constantly striving to grow and better yourself, setting goals and achieving them.

You truly are a bright light.

Keep dreaming. Keep joking. Stay kind. And know that you are so loved my sweet baby James. Happy 21st birthday!

Workin’ day and night at Las Vegas Furniture Winter Market! I spend hours walking the market—researching what pieces will make it into future designs. Touching and feeling fabrics, studying stitching, observing light quality, color combinations and testing the comfort of countless sofas and chairs. My phone is now full of thousands of images that I’ll refer to all year. Each time we do a “sit test” we document it with a thumbs up or thumbs down as a reminder of whether it’s a piece I can be confident recommending. Taking in all the new introductions and revisiting some classics takes a lot of energy. It helps to have a laugh with my peers (especially ) along the way. We missed you .

Another market in the books, and another opportunity to be grateful for my job.
