thanking you for wrapping your arms around this seminal exhibition. Today on our last day, you gave us hugs, cheers, encouragement, requests for more, and tears of sad departure. We touched you, and you inspired us. That is the magic of telling our stories from the heart.
To our co-creators, the studio team is very proud to have been on the journey with you. .jor_

Final week!

Oakland Museum of California Black Spaces: Reclaim and Remain closes March 1.

We look forward to seeing everyone.

It’s rare to have the time or opportunity to just sit with work…in silence…paying tribute to everyone in the background, mid ground or foreground.

blinkLAB Founder, June Grant in conversation with OMCA Associate Curator, Dania Talley.

Over the past few months, we’ve only had a few instances where we could really sit and talk and express our aspirations and enjoys. This final conversation captures just a glimpse of our mutual desires for African American culture.

As we begin the planning process to bring the projects back into the studio, we are faced with the question, “What next?” We have many ideas and we’re looking forward to spreading these ideas beyond Oakland, internationally.

It has truly been an honor to have contributed to this monumental exhibition. We are both proud and to say good bye.

Join us for the final 2 weeks.

We’re honored to have the “Black Spaces: Reclaim and Remain” exhibition featured in Roborant Review! "[The exhibition] allows for the multifaceted history of Black Oaklanders to relay to us all messages from the not-so-distant past."

We’re grateful for this thoughtful coverage and for the opportunity to continue uplifting these stories.
