After wrapping up our morning pour yesterday, we headed around the corner to help our good buddy Frank Jerca at Aim To Amaze with an afternoon patio pour. We put the finishing touches on the setup and poured back another section of the patio.

Next week, we’ll be back to pour the final section, which will tie into a new walkway and a step leading down to the driveway.

As always, thank you, Frank, for having us out. We always enjoy teaming up with you and your crew. Looking forward to knocking out the last phase! 💪👊

We were able to pour the new sidewalk yesterday morning over at Ms. Marsha and Mr. John’s and take care of a few odds and ends to tie everything together. Today, we returned to strip the forms, backfill, and seed all disturbed areas. We also power washed the existing front patio, front sidewalk, and rear sidewalk that ties into the new walk before sealing everything with our Single Seal/Freeze Protect Summer Blend.

This penetrating sealer works its way into the concrete to help protect against moisture intrusion, salt damage, surface crazing, and spider cracking. It also helps densify the concrete, adding another layer of long-term protection.

One of our favorite things about this sealer is seeing the water bead up and roll right off the surface. That’s a good sign that the concrete is protected and ready to withstand the elements for years to come.

Started a nice little sidewalk project for Ms. Marsha and her husband down in good ol’ Oakville today! It was nice easing into a smaller, less demanding project the day after Father’s Day. I think a lot of us dads may have enjoyed a little too much good food yesterday and were feeling it today! 😆

The good news is we got the sidewalk excavated, formed, and graded, along with all of the updated drainage installed, buried, and ready for concrete. Tomorrow we’ll pour it back, and after that all that’s left is a little power washing and sealing of the new sidewalk and the existing patio.

Stay tuned for the finished product! 👊🏻🚧🧹

What a day! Went up this morning to pour a patio with Jen, blumer, Isaiah, Van d**e and big Vito up in Maryland Heights. Just before the pour I was surprised with an awesome set of custom Rich Thomas Concrete knee boards from Van d**e and blumer for my birthday! I really am a luck guy. I work with my wife, my best buddy’s and do what we love! Thanks for the invite today Blumer and thank you guys for the knee boards. I appreciate you!

Thank you, Brett, for having us out today! It’s always a great time when our crews get together to knock out some concrete.

The driveway pour went smoothly, and we got everything finished with a clean broom texture. We did have to stick around for a couple extra hours to keep an eye on the slab as some weather rolled through. Once the rain moved out, we pulled the plastic, gave everything a quick rinse, and called it a day.

Another project in the books and another happy customer. We appreciate the work Brett! 👊🏻

It’s always a good day when you’ve got 26 yards of concrete to get on the ground. Having the right crew makes all the difference, and today was no exception. Everyone showed up ready to work, stayed after it, and got the job done right.

Day two over at Mr. Marks went really good. Pouring in the direct sunlight poses its challenges but the gang ran through it and kept up with concrete. Thank you Tim for hopping in on this two day pour event. There was over 100 foot of sidewalk in this run today with varying widths ranging between 50” & 80” and all pictured framed. Can’t wait for the topsoil and regrading of the yard!

Today the crew absolutely knocked it out of the park! A big thank you to Tim and Isaiah for jumping in and helping make it happen. And Thank you Matthew for great buggy service!

We had a full day on the schedule with a 10.5-yard driveway pour in the morning and another 8.5 yards in the afternoon. It was definitely a warm one, but the team shifted gears, stayed ahead of the heat, and got Mr. Mark’s new picture-framed, broom-finished driveway poured and looking great.

Tomorrow we’ll be back to pour the new sidewalk, which will wrap up all of the concrete work. After that, our friends over at Blumer Excavation & Hauling will bring in topsoil and regrade the slope along the side of the house to put the finishing touches on the project

Nice little day down in Oakville today! We got started on a driveway replacement and a new sidewalk connecting the back porch to the front walk. Mr. Mark chose a 50” wide sidewalk for the first 55 feet, which then widens to 80” for the final 30 feet.

This project is especially meaningful because the new sidewalk will provide wheelchair access to the backyard, making it much easier for his granddaughter to safely and comfortably enjoy the space.

Now we’re keeping an eye on the weather and hoping Mother Nature cooperates so we can get everything poured back early next week. Stay tuned for the finished product! 👊🚧☀️
