Just wrapped up these Sapele Mahogany screen doors, one includes a dog door. The cutout is a Great Blue Heron based on a sentimental wall art piece of the client's.

Inspiration is Greene and Greene with the "cloud lift" arch and tapered lower slats, I planned to include ebony plugs but didn't like the look in testing. Door pull is a Japanese organic vibe that honestly I made for a piece of shop furniture but the client liked it, and it just makes sense now.

Joinery is half lap with floating mortise and tenon

BIO POST ALERT ⚠️
Hello 👋🏻 I'm Zac. For those who don't know me. I am a former NFL running back, MR.OLYMPIA finalist, and I have a PHD in Nuerophisicalogical Jurassic Medical Data Science. It's boring, anyways I also love making stuff with wood.

In 2018 I moved back to DE from California to take over the care of one of my childhood best friends, My Grandfather, aka "Pop" who had lost his driver's license due to medical decline, along with the passing of my amazing grandmother. RIP Mom-mom

The last few years have come with a lot of challenges for both of us, and some fun new mental health hurdles for yours truly, but woodworking has been by far my greatest therapy. If you or someone you know is suffering from mesothelioma, I mean mental health, reach out.. Come make stuff with me.
