Rain doesn’t stop Israel!

Solaroom install is still underway for this homeowner in Annapolis – rain or shine! Can’t wait to share the final project!

A homeowner in Annapolis was looking to have a Thermal Designs sun shade system installed on their 1990s two-story, four-season sunroom - a 20x16 space with a full glass roof. After being unable to find a company willing to take on the project, they reached out to us.

While this wasn’t something we had installed before, Nolan, our Remodel Manager, saw it as an opportunity to take on something new. He trusted two of our best, Israel and Joel, to bring it to life and the results speak for themselves.

The final result: a sometimes overly bright space is now comfortable, functional, and fully controllable. With the ability to adjust sunlight and reduce heat, the homeowner can enjoy their sunroom any time of day.

A big congratulations to the Ellington Family, our recent monthly referral winners! To thank them for their continued trust and support over the years, we were excited to give them a Solo Stove Bonfire.

We first worked with the Ellingtons back in 2014 to replace their roof, siding, and gutters, and complete a new build deck with a screened-in porch. This year, we returned to replace all of those screens with 12 beautiful ProVia Endure windows and a ProVia storm door - further enhancing their home’s comfort and style.

We’re excited to recognize Nolan Redd, our Windows & Doors and Remodeling Manager, whose dedication and leadership have been a part of the Fichtner team since 2004. With more than two decades of experience under his belt, Nolan brings steady guidance, sharp project oversight, and a true commitment to quality to every job he touches.

Outside of work, Nolan is just as busy - especially on the lacrosse field. He serves as a goalie coach on his youngest son’s lacrosse team and loves cheering on his oldest son, who plays at Broadneck High School. Nolan also recently stepped into an exciting new role as the Director of the England/AAYLC Lacrosse Exchange, helping create unforgettable opportunities for athletes and families.

When he’s not standing on the sidelines, Nolan enjoys spending time on the water, his favorite way to relax and recharge. And if you ask his family, they’ll tell you he doesn’t stop managing projects when he leaves the office because Nolan also serves as the project manager for his wife’s at-home renovation projects!

From the jobsite to the sidelines, Nolan’s leadership and passion show up everywhere he goes. We’re proud to have him as part of the Fichtner team.
