Bermudagrass is nearly indestructible: Known for being highly resilient to heavy foot traffic, it is a favorite for sports fields, though it is high-maintenance and requires full sun.

Centipedegrass is the "Lazy Man's Grass": This slow-growing, light-green, warm-season grass requires less mowing and fertilizer than most other turf types.

St. Augustinegrass dominates the heat: Known for its wide, coarse blades, it is the most common grass found in hot, humid climates like Florida.
