In April we had a client accusse one of our staff of stealing 3 pieces of jewelry from an unlocked safe (the officer could not locate the safe because it was hidden behind the homeowners clothes), the alleged jewelry was In a pouch with many other things, sitting beside a wad of cash (pointed out by the sheriff, and homeowner admitted the cash had been in their during the alleged theft) the sheriff checked for finger prints and found none, even though the homeowner admitted to rummaging through the safe and it's contents that morning.when I arrived that morning (after the sister called and asked that I come because her sister was upset) the first thing the sister said to me and I I quote " I'm so glad your not mad I thought you'd think we were scamming you!" Let me explain as to why she thought I would think that. They had been bragging to me, my husband and our staff about 4 lawsuits they had with companies and that they had won millions of dollars and still had 400,000 coming from suing the moving company that moved them from Texas. Initially (the first couple of hours I was on board with believing it could be the new guy I hired. This is because I was hysterical, who wouldn't be but as soon as I sat back and started listening I knew better. She told me she went in the safe to see if I wanted to trade these prices of jewelry for work in the future but told the officer that she had and I quote" a hebegebe feeling"
This is her claim that at some point while we were working, this guy had time to not only the locate, the safe.
That mind you, he was on his knees doing flooring, and the safe is five feet in the air hidden by So much clothes that even the officer couldn't locate the safe. So he found the safe, left the money and had time to search the pouch for the only three pieces of jewelry that they had paperwork on. There is nobody that can confide that this jewelry was still in their possession at this time. So instead of taking the entire pouch, he supposedly allegedly had time to open the pouch and miraculously only pulled the three pieces that had paperwork.
Mind you.
Our minds don't work this way.
This whole situation was so incredibly shocking.
After this happened, we returned to work on Monday and Tuesday because although this was a horrible situation and I felt that things did not add up. I did not want to be the company that didn't complete their contract. Our reputation means everything to us.We worked very hard for it. When we instructed the homeowner that we were going to be recording while our guys were there.She threw a fit cussing me out via text. It was awful, Saying it was my job to baby sit My staff and not hers. And while I do agree with that on a normal circumstance, these circumstances were anything but normal, and I felt that my staff needed that video to protect themselves from any further accusations. My you it was a police officer that told us it was a good idea to record ourselves. On the third day when my guy showed up for work, she came out screaming and cussing, saying that my crew was not coming into her house, because my nephew in law, who's part of that group and that no effing family of mine was welcome in her home. It was on that day that we terminated the contract. Although there had been many breaches and I had officers saying I should have terminated the contract immediately. I still wanted to fulfill the contract on this day. It was The straw that broke the camel's back.
I found out later that they called the police on us that day, hoping to get us in some kind of trouble. However, the officer told them there was nothing he could do and favored our side due to their vulgar and abrasive behavior. When that didn't work, somebody contacted lake Okeechobee news, The reporter Cathy, who is very pleasant by the way, also favored our side. When my hairdresser told me about this story, I too contacted kathy to give her more insight as to what was really happening. Since then, they have done whatever they can to try to ruin our reputation by going to some of the local sites on Facebook. And talking bad about my company, thank god that much of the community knows us for who we really are, and they have since been blocked from those sites. Most recently, they made a report to the Better Business Bureau. This really killed me because it meant so much to me to be able to say that we were BBB accredited I have encouraged the Better Business Bureau to please stay in contact with my attorney and with the police department. I'm praying that they pull the police reports to see what's really going on. There is a good chance I'm going to lose my BB accreditation, which breaks my heart as was their goal. They have since then went on yelp talking badly about my company and anywhere else that they could do so. Please know that in the eyes of the law we have not been found to have done anything wrong. We did not commit this crime and our clients mean the world to us, which is why i'm posting this now.I feel like everyone should have all of the information. We love our community. We love our clients and we love our friends.We have nothing but the utmost respect for all of you. At the end of the day, people are going to believe what they want, and we live in a society that wants nothing more than to be part of the gossip.Unfortunately, I hold Okeechobee to a higher standard, I believe we are a community full of amazing God, fearing people, and I pray that you know us better than this. The most comical thing they've said is that we were run out of Fort Pierce, and everywhere else we've ever lived, and that's why we came here. It's funny because we've never burned a bridge and all of our fort pierce people and our Former employers are all still our friends. Their accusations are insane. They're also trying to say that I refuse them my insurance information when I clearly sent it to them immediately and immediately filed a claim on their behalf, I just told my insurance company to do their due diligence and research the situation and the people involved. I promise you everything I have said here is one hundred percent the truth. I do have texts that I could post. That proved that they were happy with our work if they weren't. Why would they want a company to return to their home after they accuse them of stealing. None of it adds up. In front of the police officer, they were so sweet, telling the officer how they loved me and they were going to take care of me after my surgery, they really laid it on thick as soon as there were no police around their true colors started showing, they started becoming vulgar and nasty, harassing me at Four o'clock in the morning, it was unbelievable What they put me through, just to be cruel. I'll be honest. It almost broke me, but my friend Rhonda Wladron and my friend Stephanie Goings Ihave been there pushing me to be the warrior that I am and reminding me that I am washed in the blood of jesus and that he will protect me.
