We got the pleasure of working on a piece of history with this project! Built in 1883!!! We washed, replaced some siding, trim, and spindles, scraped, oil primed, and caulked all laps, gaps, and cracks using around 70 tubes of caulking before painting it white. We also removed all storm windows and painted the original windows behind them, then reinstalled and sealed them. It turned out pretty good for being 143 years old! We recently completed this bathroom project. The ceiling was peeling and flaking really bad, so we scraped and added some drywall tape and mud.
