The garden has been planted! Half of the peppers were put in the ground, space is reserved for the rest, and seeds for squash, zucchini, and watermelons were planted in the extra space. Can it just be harvesting time already?!

How do we maintain such a large garden without access to running water? Here's how:

3 large water tanks, totaling about 1000 gallons at full capacity

A semi-trash water pump that pumps approximately 160 gallons per minute

A series of hoses and PVC pipes that bring the water from the lake over 200 feet away up to the tanks

And finally, a timer that sends water from the tanks down to the garden and preset intervals
