Improper door sill plan flashing lead to this rot behind an old deck ledger board. There was also no deck flashing on the old ledger and no house wrap under the door. We will piece back in house wrap and flash properly so it’s ready for the new deck! Joe Cina

Joe Cina and I just wrapped up this 14’x12’ deck and 4’x5’ landing with stairs. The original plan was to just re-deck with new treated decking boards, railing, and replace the footings, posts and beam, but when we demo’d the old decking boards we noticed some structural issues with the ledger board at the house. The railing was also very unsafe and the spindles were actually toe nailed to the decking boards. After talking to the clients we did a full tear down and complete rebuild, changing the deck design and layout to be more functional for their family as well as a more practical landing spot for the stairs. This deck is picture framed and features a black cable railing system with 4x4 posts and a 2x4 top drink rail. We rolled on some Fastenmaster Deck Frame Coating to prolong the life of the material. Thank you to the Thurin’s for your business and we hope you enjoy your new deck!

When demo-ing a deck goes better than expected. First time I’ve seen balusters toe nailed to deck boards. Joe Cina

Here’s a fun little project Joe and I finished up and put the final installation touches on yesterday. 60”x22” custom vanity. 3/4” plywood boxes overlaid with reclaimed barn wood. Two sliding barn doors that overlap the stacked drawers and the single drawer box with the open bottom. The customers rough in plumbing is stubbed in thru the left side corner so we left that open for the time being and will possibly add a shelf at a later date. We even hung the mirror. Thanks Kyle and Andrea for your business. Enjoy your vanity. Joe Cina

Fun quick project anchoring this Bengal Cat tree to the ceiling for some prior clients. Hopefully they hit the tree high enough to prevent the bottom from sliding out on them. Pretty cool cats; one was even a little curious! Joe Cina

Joe Cina and I replaced an old failed exterior door today. A lack of simple deck flashing, improper installation of the old door and screws through the old threshold lead to the rot. We replaced the framing and subfloor under the threshold, flashed everthing properly and were sure to use plenty of silicone. We even found a surprise hidden inside included in the last picture🤣
