It was a rainy afternoon so I took the time to process the habaneros and make another batch of hot sauce. I went a different route with this recipe. I made this one with peaches instead of carrots and it turned out great. I’ve got over a half gallon of hot sauce now so I think I’m probably set for the rest of the year 😂😂

It was soap making time this past weekend. Popped it and cut it this afternoon and it turned out great. I used Ylang Ylang essential oil for the scent and it smells terrific. I love making our own things and I know exactly what goes into it.

Put the new knife to the test this afternoon and it passed with flying colors. I used it to slice our jalapeños to make cowboy candy. Now we just have to wait to give them a try. Fingers crossed 🤞 that I like this recipe. Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend.

It makes for a long night canning when you don’t leave your day job until 5 and then have chores to do. But when the veggies are ready we do what we gotta do. Another successful batch ran through the canner. Five quarts of peas which we’ll truly enjoy this winter. It’s worth a little less sleep knowing where our food comes from and the independence it creates.
