Hey! Long time, no post! We pray that all of our clients and their families are safe during Hurricane Idalia. Below is a link to power outages by county. For your specific home or business, check your power company's website.
Once this storm passes, please heed this advice: When a company representative comes knocking on your door, advising you that your insurance will cover your damage minus the deductible, they are not being honest. They will tell you that roof damage from wear and tear will be covered, and that you can get a total roof replacement for $1000. They are not claims adjusters and they do not know whether insurance will pay or not. They may ask you to sign a form stating that they can handle the insurance part for you. What they are having you sign is an "Assignment of Benefits" which means their name will be on the check. That's it. Most insurance companies won't even talk to them, let alone allow them to handle the entire process.
We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Most of you are long-term clients who we consider good friends. Stay indoors and off the roads unless you're required.
FPL's Power Tracker is an online, interactive map that lets customers enter a street address, city, or ZIP code to view outage and restoration information for their area.
