Thinning apples might look painful…but it’s one of the best things you can do for your tree 🍎
When too many apples grow in one spot, they compete for nutrients, water, and sunlight.
By removing some early on, you help:
✨ grow bigger apples
✨ improve flavor and sweetness
✨ prevent branches from breaking
✨ reduce pests and disease
How to thin:
leave 1 apple (or 2) per cluster, spaced ~6 inches apart.✂️
And yes… the ones at the end?
Those are the apples I pulled off. 😭
It’s less fruit now…for better fruit later.
