I thought I was bringing home a plant.

Turns out I was bringing home a whole new way of living.

One plant became a shelf.
The shelf became a wall.
The wall became a room.
The room became a sanctuary.

Somewhere along the way, I stopped collecting plants and started building a life around things that make me feel more connected, more present, and more at home.

The funny part is I still walk into a greenhouse thinking I only need one more. 🌿😂

every time the song said “vanna white,” i somehow had another plant area to show 😂🌿

the funny part is… this isn’t even all of them.

there are still plants outside, plants in other rooms, and plenty more throughout the house 😅 we counted recently and stopped at over 300.

at this point, i think my house just has a theme.

if plants feel like home to you, you’re my people 🌿

sometimes it’s the tiniest things that make me the happiest 🌿

a new leaf.
a tiny peduncle forming on a hoya.
a little sign that all the care is being felt.

after the watering, adjusting lights, checking leaves, rotating plants, and paying attention to what each one needs… these small moments honestly never get old.

it feels like the plants quietly saying,
“we’re happy here.”

and for some reason, that makes me ridiculously happy every single time.

started with one little plant and somehow ended up growing a whole indoor jungle 🌿

honestly though… this is exactly how it happens.

you bring one home.
then it “needs a friend.”
then suddenly you’re rotating plants for better lighting and checking leaves every morning 😂

and honestly?
i regret absolutely nothing.

i genuinely don’t think i’ll ever get tired of places like this 🌿

the warm greenhouse air, the sound of water, wandering the aisles to see what’s new… honestly there are worse ways to spend a day.

dangerous place for people like me though because somehow i always leave needing at least twelve more plants 😂

do things that make you happy.

fill your home with things that feel alive.
make tea slowly.
water the plants.
rearrange the room.
sit in the light a little longer.
create spaces that soften you.

life feels heavy sometimes.
i hope you still make room for joy anyway 💚

the people who changed their lives were usually called unrealistic first 🌿

the older i get, the more i realize that building a life that actually feels aligned will almost always look “unrealistic” to someone else.

this room…
this path…
this way of living…

none of it came from shrinking myself into what felt safe or expected.

sometimes the most important thing you can do is keep listening to your own inner knowing, even when other people don’t fully understand it yet.
