Every tree is part of a story 🌳
Some of the trees we work on are more than just trees. They’re the tree you sat under reading books as a kid, the one that shaded family picnics, or the one planted in memory of a beloved pet. We love hearing those stories.
This willow had become hazardous after a large limb cracked out, and much of the tree was rotted. It was time for it to come down, but that didn’t make it any easier. This tree belonged to a dear friend and held decades of memories.
The bittersweet part of tree work is that every living thing has a beginning and an end. The beautiful part is finding ways to carry those memories forward. A friend is turning some of this willow into a wooden bowl so a piece of the tree can continue to be part of their story.
When we get the opportunity to work on trees like this one, it feels like so much more than a removal. It’s helping preserve a small piece of a family’s history, while giving the wood a new life and purpose. 💚🌳
This tree lived a full, beautiful life. And now, in a different form, its story gets to continue.
