Earlier this year, we painted a home in the Woodland Lakes Preserve subdivision owned by Louis Bruno. We had the privilege of working with Mr. Bruno in the past providing restoration services to SunTrust Banks. Many of the homes in Woodland Lakes suffer from water intrusion through the stucco. Our work product was recently tested with Hurricane Irma, and below is a letter we received from Mr. Bruno:

Letter of Recommendation for All Surface Restoration Orlando, Jim Cozad

We recently had the exterior finish of our home refurbished by All Surface Restoration. The stucco home was painted with a builder’s grade system and had deteriorated severely. Jim’s team did a great job of preparing the stucco, sealing cracks, and priming stucco before applying the painted finish. They took time to apply the paint coating by hand making sure application was more than adequate. The end result was a top-quality job.

We recently had the home tested by hurricane Irma and the home was water tight with no water intrusion. My neighbors reported problems right after the storm.

We did have one issue, and in talking to many of my neighbors, I was not alone. I live in a Lantana home built by Deluca Homes. Apparently, many of us had water come in through the exterior walls, and it seeped into the subfloor.

We are greatly appreciative of Jim’s team and his partnership with LANCO Paints to put together a coating system that has outperformed the harsh elements of the Florida environment.

Dear Friends: With Irma apparently on a path to Orlando, wanted to give you some precautions regarding your insurance.

We are a restoration company, worked with our community during Hurricane Charley, and one of the main issues that will keep your insurance company from paying your full damages is if you fail to mitigate your storm damage after it occurs. What we mean by that is that if damage occurs to your home such as roof damage, you must take steps to secure that damage as best you can as soon as you can before you are able to reach your insurance company or at the same time you call your insurance company so no further or additional minimal damage occurs. It also helps that you have worked to prepare your home before the hurricane.

We are here to help you with immediate damage at affordable rates. Our services include:

• emergency water extractions with our truck-mounted system
• tarps to cover your roof damage (if we run out of tarps, we have plastic)
• cover window damage
• haul away hurricane debris
• cut and haul away damaged tree limbs
• tear out of water-damaged dry wall
• Evacuating? We will do a wellness check ASAP on the exterior of your property and report back to you.

Your insurance company will then get involved, and will require you to obtain proposals to finish the work or will work directly with vendors if you signed an assignment. We will be happy to submit a proposal for further restoration services.

NOTE: If your home is severely damaged, as in massive flooding, you must evacuate as your home will not be safe.

Advice regarding your roof: as we saw through Hurricane Charley, if there is any damage to your roof, your insurance company may say you had prior damage to a portion of your roof, and only pay pennies on the dollar of what your actual repair cost may be. Be prepared to provide prior roof repair or installation documents to show the age of your roof. If possible, before Hurricane Irma arrives, try to get some close up photos and/or video, particular around any structures on the roof such as pipes, sky lights, chimneys.

NOTE: Be careful doing this, particularly if you are not comfortable on a roof or climbing up a ladder.

We have been contacted by many people who have mold in their home through no fault of their own. They have obtained a few estimates that are TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars, and our new customers are alarmed and scared.

Many contractors live by the phrase, "Mold Is Gold," and charge ridiculous amounts of money to remove the mold. I am here to tell you that is a despicable practice. Many times some drywall removal and painting is all that is needed. But you MUST contact someone immediately upon discovering the mold before it grows. Get several estimates.

As an example, we visited a family who was living without air conditioning, mold was in their AC, throughout their home, and it started as one small leak behind a dishwasher that would have cost only hundreds to repair.

We were contacted by a homeowner who received estimates of repair in the thousands to remove mold from the exterior of an AC unit box in the garage. Our estimate was less than $1,000. Naturally we were questioned extensively by the homeowner. We did the job in one and one-half days and the homeowner was thrilled.

Part of a thank you email we received from a customer today. They had sustained some significant water damage and Jim got the work done in time for Thanksgiving:

". . .I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the work that you did and
helping work with us.
You did a great job and were very courteous and professional from the very
beginning.
I must say that I was dreading working with contractors due to my previous
experience with them but we absolutely made the right choice with your

You did not try to scam me or oversell me. You discussed with me what I
