SUMMER LIQUIDATION SALE!!!!

Hello, Stone River Nursery friends!

This year has been topsy-turvy regarding our tree sale plans! The first batch of rootstocks I received earlier this year was damaged during transit from freezing weather. The next batch was intended to graft apple trees for local sales, but I had to reserve them due to an upcoming project for my graduate degree program. I sincerely apologize to our customer base for those changes in plans, but our tree sales for next year should be up and running in April 2026.

With that said, we do have some small apple trees available for sale and will sell them for only $15 each (that's 50% off from our already low regular sale price when compared to other nurseries). I also have some small stone fruit trees available (Burgundy Plum, Flavor King Pluot, Katy Apricot) that can also be purchased for $15 each. There are also some apple trees on 5-gal buckets at $25 (which is also 50% off from what I'd ask for them). For payment, we take cash, PayPal ([email protected]) through Friends & Family option, or CashApp ($bocorazon).

Hello, friends and followers of Stone River Nursery! We hope that 2025 brings you and your family many blessings and opportunities for a better life. I want to take this opportunity to share our plans for those interested in buying apple trees from us.

Starting in February, we'll be selling new-grafted baby apple trees at $25 each (non-negotiable). These will be baby trees with established roots (from the rootstock) grown in 3-gal containers. The varieties we'll be offering for sale this year are:

Low-chillers:
- Anna
- Dorsett Golden
- Shell of Alabama
(each of these are pollinator partners for the others)

Other reliable varieties in hot climates:
- GoldRush
- King David
- Mollie's Delicious
- Pixie Crunch

We'll start grafting trees in late January/early February once our rootstocks break dormancy. We use G.890 rootstock, which is excellent for heavy soils or areas that receive a lot of water.
If you order only one tree, you'll need to already have another apple tree of a different variety to ensure pollination. Otherwise, we encourage to order at least two trees of different varieties for pollination purposes.

Once the baby trees are ready for purchase, we'll post an announcement on our FB page and IG letting folks know about it. If you want to reserve trees, we can do so if we receive a 50%, non-refundable deposit for each tree ($12.50 per tree). The other 50% will be paid when the grafted tree(s) is(are) ready. We take payments via PayPal ([email protected]) through the Friends & Family option or through CashApp ($bocorazon). When sending your payments, please provide your name and a brief note to properly identify your order. **PayPal payments using the commercial option won't be accepted.**

We can deliver the tree(s) anywhere in the Orlando area for an additional $25 fee. If you pick them up, we’ll send you the address of a meeting location (usually a shopping center) and we’ll bring the trees to you. If you provide us your email address, we’ll also send you a reference guide with tips on how to grow and care for your apple tree(s) in our Central Florida climate.
We don't ship trees, so orders are only for local delivery!

Custom grafted apple trees are $25 each, with a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin grafting your order (unless a grafted tree (or trees) never awake(s), in which case we return the applicable portion of the deposit if you don't want replacement(s)). The remaining 50% of the order is due upon receiving the trees.

Pre-grafted apple tree prices start at $25, with larger-sized apple trees and red-fleshed apple varieties priced from $35 to $75. Just like with the custom-grafted trees, we'll ask for a non-refundable 50% deposit at the time of order to reserve your tree(s).

Hello, folks! Happy Earth Day!

We're now taking orders for custom grafted trees! Due to the increasing temperatures in our area, the last day to order your trees will be next Tuesday, April 30th, 2024. You can choose scions from the following varieties:
- Arkansas Black

- Co-op 13 (a.k.a. Redfree)
- Co-op 23 (a.k.a. Williams' Pride)

Due to a USPS error, I never received the King David scions I ordered. However, I was able to graft four King David trees using scion material from my own tree. Supply is extremely limited, so King David trees will be sold on a first-order, first-serve basis. I also have some additional pre-grafted trees (including several red-flesh varieties) and other larger-size varieties. Please inquire for more information.

Hello, Central Florida residents! Happy April 1st! (*The following announcement is NOT an April Fool's Day joke!)

Your new opportunity to order custom-grafted apple trees is coming up very soon! As soon as we receive the scions, we'll be ready to graft trees. We'll have the following varieties available:

Bill's Red Flesh - a red-flesh apple with sweet flavor and firm flesh.

King David - one of the best apples ever! An heirloom apple from Arkansas that has dark red skin and a yellowish flesh that is crispy, juicy, with an excellent flavor that's sweet and spicy.

Mollie's Delicious - a nicely flavored, large-sized apple with creamy yellow flesh that's crisp, sweet, and juicy. An apple sure to be a favorite of kids!

Redfree - a medium-sized apple that has red skin and an excellent sweet-tart flavor. A good producer in warm climates.

Williams' Pride - A dark-skinned apple that has a spicy, sweet-tart flavor with a crisp and juicy flesh. An apple that heralds the end of summer vacation, so it's ready around the time to start school. With such a great flavor, one looks forward to that time they're ready!

Hello, Central Florida residents!

Earlier this year, we had an overwhelming response to our custom-grafted trees and we sold out very quickly (within a few days of the initial post on February 2nd, 2024).

If you missed out on the chance to order apple trees earlier this year, the fates may have intervened to give you another chance!
Due to an undercounting of rootstocks for a UF project, I now have over 50 G.890 rootstocks that will soon become available for grafting! Very soon I'll make another post to announce what varieties will be available for order. Stay tuned!

Hello, dear Stone River Nursery customers!

We have already fulfilled some of the orders we received in early February, but if you haven't received yours it's because we continue to wait for some of the grafted trees to awake. All the grafts look well, but some of the are still dormant and are holding the readiness of the rest of your order. Rest assured, I want all of you to have your trees and if you want them now (even though some of the grafts haven't budded out) please let me know!

Hello, dear customers!

There are a few orders are ready for pickup! There is scion material already awake in every order, but some scions haven't budded out yet (although the scions look good and aren't dried up). I have been giving the plants a bit of liquid fertilizer as a boost to encourage sprouting, so please check in with me if you need an update on your order!

We truly appreciate the trust you put in us, and we reciprocate such trust by being transparent and honest in all we do for our customers so they are happy! Hope to see all of our customers very soon when it's time to receive their trees!
