After the Freeze: Don’t Panic 🌱Your Tropical Plants Can Still Recover! Many tropical plants may look worse than they actually are. Cold damage often shows up days or even weeks later, and what looks “dead” now can still recover.
What to do right now:
Please do not heavily prune yet 🌱damaged leaves help protect the plant
Remove only leaves or stems that are completely black, mushy, or collapsing
Do not fertilize until new growth appears
Water normally, but avoid overwatering stressed plants
Give plants time 🌱many will resprout from the base once temperatures stay warm
Plants like crotons, areca palms, dracaena, and birds of paradise are especially slow to show recovery after cold weather, but many do come back with patience😊
