This was a recent one that really pushed me to my highest fear point. This tree was so hollow that once I reached the hollow area, I heard the tree crack. I officially called it quits and got a lift to finish the job.

Being in the tree industry I've been very cautious of everything I do, knowing how dangerous it is to operate saws and be in a tree. I never thought it would happen to me, let alone so soon, but on Aug 25th, 2025, it finally happened. One small miscalculation and I caught my left hand with my top handle chainsaw. Thank God it didn't go deep or take my finger with it. 3 months later and the hand is sealed but still sensitive to heavy impact. All this to bring awareness and say, never be too cautious, because there may not be a next time if you don't take this job seriously. Let me know in the comments what's the worst you've endured.

2nd official job with my skid and first full tree removal solo. This was one for the books. Tried new rigging methods and used my portawrap in the tree. First time for many things. Client said he couldn't believe I did it all by myself. Definitely wish I would have had help, but grateful for the opportunity to continue to gain experience. This little machine made absolutely light work of loading this tree.
