LeVon Designs Homes is a residential building design firm based in Orlando. We focus on developing design solutions and construction documents for pre-designed home plans, new custom homes, and additions/renovations for existing homes. We are hiring an experienced, design-oriented, dynamic, and motivated building designer or Florida licensed architect with the ability to develop designs for both traditional and modern residential building styles. You will be working with our lead designer to assist with generating design and drawings from Schematic Design through Construction Documentation. Position responsibilities include:
Meet with clients to understand their wants and needs developing design solutions for residential projects.
Produce hand-drawn concepts to present to the client for proposed design review and approval.
Visit project sites to assess existing conditions and take as-built measurements for renovation/addition projects.
Visit project sites to assess site conditions and how they will inform the design for the proposed structure.
Ability to produce a full set of accurate, detailed construction documents for residential projects, including new custom homes, additions/renovations to existing homes, and accessory structures.
Position qualifications include:
We exclusively use Revit. Therefore, ideal candidates must be proficient in using the software and have at least 5 years of experience working on projects in Revit. Proficiency in developing and editing Revit families is a huge plus.
Experience using the Enscape plug-in for Revit is preferred.
At least 7 years of experience developing design solutions for residential projects based on input from homeowners.
Knowledge of building regulations/codes and the ability to research and apply/incorporate into design/technical documents required.
Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality service to clients.
Ability to work in a team environment.
A great design sensibility and a strong portfolio including construction drawings. Familiarity with wood and CMU construction techniques and detailing.
Strong organization and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage one’s own time.
This is a salaried position. The application process will include completing a Revit assessment at our office.
