More than 1,000 people showed up to CITRUSMRKET, activating the West Church Corridor.
Fashion, art, music, local vendors, and a community that continues to show up for creative energy in Orlando.

This is part of our approach to regenerative development: investing in experiences, partnerships, and programming that bring people together, build community and create long-term momentum for the corridor.

Twenty-five years ago on May 18, Interstruct was incorporated. Ryan Young and Rich Monroe had a humble beginning but held on to an idea that the construction process could be different. Their concept of creating a path to build better has informed every decision that they've made.

25 years later, Interstruct Design + Build continues to do exactly that. We are an architect-led design-build firm with vertically integrated general contracting, architectural and real estate services. We have grown from two founding partners to multiple offices across the southeast and almost 70 employees.

We are grateful to our incredible Interstruct team, our consultants, sub-contractors, community partners and clients whose incredible hard work and partnerships have made Interstruct what it is today.

Here’s to the next chapter of thoughtful design, bold infill projects, and spaces that bring people together.

Walter’s Tavern was named a finalist in the hospitality + dining category at the Golden Brick Awards, and it was great to see the project recognized alongside so many strong contributors shaping downtown Orlando.

Located within Great Southern Box Company Food Hall and Bar, the project gave us the chance to work inside a historic citrus packing warehouse and help create a space that feels connected to Orlando’s past while adding new energy to the Packing District today.

Interstruct Design + Build led the architecture and construction, with interiors by Kim Price and KAP Studio. A lot of thoughtful storytelling and detail went into this one, all centered around the legacy of Walter Phillips and Central Florida’s citrus history.

It is a significant honor that our Travel + Leisure global headquarters was recognized as the GAME CHANGER at the 2025
Downtown Orlando Partnership Golden Brick Awards.

This was the largest downtown office project in 2025. Interstruct completed the full renovation of the five-story, 186,000 SF building in just seven months.

More importantly, the project brings 900+ employees into downtown along the West Church Corridor, adding energy and economic activity to this important and evolving district.

We’re hiring in Tampa. Interstruct Design + Build is looking for an Architectural / Revit Draftsperson to support our architecture team—someone who can jump into production, collaborate across disciplines, and help carry projects from concept through permitting.

This role sits inside a fully integrated design + build environment, working closely with both architects and construction teams on active healthcare and commercial projects.

Congratulations to Jennifer Desir Hilaire on being named Executive Director of the West Lakes District.

West Lakes sits at the center of a major moment for this part of Orlando. A new CRA framework is taking shape around Camping World Stadium, which is undergoing a $400 million transformation to expand capacity and reposition it for major national events. That momentum is already evident with Orlando set to host the Jacksonville Jaguars 2027 season—bringing national attention and real demand into the West Church Corridor.

Camping World Stadium and its surrounding infrastructure anchor the west end of the West Church Corridor, which is taking shape through coordinated infrastructure, development, and programming. Jennifer’s experience makes her a great fit for leading the West Lakes Main Street District at this critical time.

Through The Desire Foundation Inc, she has led efforts to address food insecurity in Parramore and West Lakes—adjacent neighborhoods that have long been a food desert. Through our partnership on Project 814, she has helped distribute tens of thousands of pounds of groceries while also connecting neighbors to essential services, from clothing and barbering to access to local resources. Soon, The Desire Foundation will open Parramore Market, a choice pantry bringing consistent access to healthy food into the community.

That work reflects a deep understanding of how to serve a community while building something that lasts.

For more than 25 years, Ryan has invested in Downtown Orlando — shaping projects that strengthen the district and reflect thoughtful, long-term vision. From transformative commercial work to the adaptive reuse of historic landmarks, his leadership continues to elevate the built environment across our urban core.

His impact extends beyond construction. Through his dedication to The Desire Foundation and a sustained commitment to public art initiatives, Ryan supports efforts that expand access to resources, celebrate creative expression, and strengthen meaningful connections throughout downtown.

We are proud to see both his work and his stewardship recognized.
