Mandevilla aka Rocketrumpet Vine
Mandevilla is a tropical and/or subtropical flowering vine belonging to the family Apocynaceae. The five-petal flowers are often attractive and have a great fragrance. Mandevilla typically comes in pink, red, white, and yellow. They most often bloom in the summer and can sometimes bloom into the fall. Hope for a warm winter, and you'll have Mandevilla all year long! These are fast-growing vines and should be planted in the mid-to-late spring once the temperature is reliably warm. They love humidity, so softly spray the leaves to give them some added humidity during our hot summer days. They are cold-hardy in zone 9 but like temps over 50 degrees. So cold hardy in zone 9 with care! They do not like freezing temps, so treat them like your Desert Rose and bring them indoors or cover during our brief cold snaps. The yellow Coastal Mandevilla stays green all year long in my beachside yard with no extra care. You decide tender perennial or an annual based on your care. They are moderately salt-tolerant and said to be drought-resistant. They are said to be deer-resistant. A fast-growing vine that is considered a perennial in zone 9 with care. They love a full sun spot in your landscape. Love moist well-draining soil, so you will need to put on a regular watering schedule. They will bloom from summer through fall. Pinch stems in early spring to promote a bushier plant. Grow on a trellis or other structure naturally. Work well as a hanging basket. Also a favorite of hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees! Brighten up your landscape with these beautiful flowers, or grow them in containers and put them on your porch, pool deck, or lanai. Work well inside your pool cage or screen porch, too! Or inside your home, in front of that window that gets that bright summer sun. Available at Big League Landscape. ! !

Tecoma Sun Trumpet
A compact heat-loving shrub. Said to be a dwarf. A Tecoma hybrid that displays amazing yellow or orange tubular flowers. A great plant for your patio containers and hanging baskets. A great addition to your butterfly area or as a pollinator in your landscape. Low-maintenance plants for your landscape. Put on your patio, pool area, or lanai for that pup of color! Said to be deer resistant due to their slightly rough, scented, leathery leaves. Can reach 12 to 36 inches tall and wide at maturity. thrives in 6 or more hours of direct sun and loves lots of heat. Likes a regular water schedule and slightly moist soil. Cold Hardy zone 9. On colder days, bring indoors if in a container. Fertilize in early spring with an organic fertilizer or use a slow-release, well-balanced fertilizer. Remember to follow the directions for the application.
