It is with tremendous heartbreak that I announce the shutting down of Favorite Son Home Maintenance. I am still not able to physically do the type of work that I need to be capable of to run my business and I do not know when I will be fully healed. I have to feed my family, so I took a desk job back in the printing industry. I would like to thank all of my customers for the business and support over the last 2 years. It has been a pleasure serving your needs. If you have business pending with me, I will be contacting you privately. God has a plan for me, just gotta have faith.

Been a while since I posted about my progress. I sure was hoping to be back to work by now, but it is definitely going slower than hoped. My leg can take the weight, but it is my foot that is having a hard time healing. Between the inactivity, the swelling, and the nerves that are reconnecting, it is painful.
I going to therapy 2 times a week and that is helping, but I am still not able to walk without at least 1 crutch and I can only do that for an hour or 2 before I have to stop and put my foot up for a while.
Bright side is that it IS getting better every day. I have a special shoe ordered that will help me walk easier. I am not sure when I will be back working again.

Went to Doctor and was told that everything is looking better. Swelling is still there, which they say is pretty normal with this severe of an injury. I will be allowed to START to put weight on my leg in 2 weeks, but only 25 percent. And I start physical therapy next week for swelling, the get to learn how to walk again. So based on that, I SHOULD be able to get back to work in January, although I have NO idea how much work or what kind of work I will be able to do. 1 step at a time.

I want to say how wonderful my customers have been. I have had multiple phone calls and texts checking up on me. I have been overwhelmed with the outpouring on love and prayers and support throughout this difficult time. My family and myself TRULY appreciate it.

I will keep you updated as I progress.

Another update on my status. I am still unable to put weight on my leg and I am now taking IV antibiotics for an infection. I had a picc line installed and do my IVs at home 3 times a day. HOWEVER, I am starting to feel better. I am almost off the pain meds and can move around a little more Although I had hoped to be back to work soon, it looks like it could be another month before I can get back to work. I thank you all for your concern and prayers.

Update on my status - I have been informed by my doctor that I am still not allowed to put any weight on the leg and won't be able to for another 4 weeks. I appreciate all my customers and their patience with me.

After much prayer, soul searching, advice seeking, and doctor consulting, I am having surgery Tuesday to fuse the ankle. If all goes well, I will be back in business in 2 to 3 months. I appreciate all the advice given, prayers, love and support I have received from my friends and family and customers the last 2 weeks. I am blessed to have such a support system. Remodeled a bathroom for last few weeks at Art and Christie Endsley's house. New ceiling, New laminate woodfloors, install shiplap, install new vanity and replaced both light fixtures and plugs and switches. Painted walls, replaced toilet fl**ge and toilet shutoff valve.

Worked on a bathroom for a repeat client this week. There was a door into the bathroom that another contractor started and never finished opening up. I finished and sheet-rocked the opening to get it paint ready for them. I also replaced the old laminate vinyl floor and installed a new toilet.
