We have successfully utilized our Genie to drill a precise hole. Although the process initially seemed straightforward, it required thoughtful modifications, which ultimately led to a solution that seemed obvious in hindsight. Fortunately, our efforts were fruitful. This breakthrough enables us to access remote areas with ease, facilitating the installation of poles in locations that larger vehicles struggle to reach. Furthermore, our equipment has been enhanced with various attachments, including a trencher, ditch compactor, dirt bucket, and grapple buckets, thereby streamlining our operations.

Duhpoleguys.com has been diligently working on fine-tuning our newest machine. The addition of an auger system from a skid steer to the Genie 5519 has proven to be a challenge, but we believe we have overcome it. We aimed to develop a more compact machine for use on private properties and easements, enabling the accurate, safe, and approved installation of power poles.

The Daffodil Parade is more than a tradition in Orting, it’s one of the biggest opportunities of the year for our small business community.

Every spring, thousands of people visit Pierce County communities to watch the parade, and the celebration finishes right here in Orting around 5 PM. Throughout the afternoon, downtown Orting is full of visitors walking the streets, shopping, grabbing food, and discovering the small businesses that make our town so special.

For many local businesses, events like this create a huge boost. New customers are introduced to shops they’ve never visited before, vendors get the chance to showcase what they do, and the entire downtown benefits from the energy and foot traffic the parade brings.

This year, the Orting Business Association has taken over the Chamber’s previous role of coordinating the vendor booths in Orting during the parade festivities. Our goal is to help create an event that highlights local entrepreneurs, makers, and businesses while bringing more people into downtown Orting.
