Carpenter’s Assistant
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Carpenters Assistant to join our team. In this essential role, you will support experienced carpenters with daily tasks on construction sites and woodworking projects, helping ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to grow in the carpentry field.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other construction materials according to project specifications.
* Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and materials for each job.
* Perform general labor duties, including lifting and moving heavy materials, setup, and site cleanup.
* Operate hand and power tools safely under the direct supervision of a qualified carpenter.
* Help install and repair structural elements, fixtures, and finishes such as doors, windows, cabinets, trim, and molding.
* Construct and install frameworks, foundations, and other structural components.
* Maintain and organize tools and equipment, ensuring they are kept in good working condition.
* Follow blueprints, sketches, and instructions with precision and attention to detail.
* Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
* Basic knowledge of carpentry tools, techniques, and materials.
* Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
* Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality and precision work.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically on the job.
* Team-oriented mindset with good collaboration and communication skills.
* Solid understanding of safety procedures and a commitment to following them at all times.
* Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn new skills and techniques.
