Ronan got out of Pre-K and apparently headed straight for his second job. 🤪🌱

We finally got some dirt into the raised beds and were able to start planting plugs today. There’s something pretty special about watching these little hands help build something from the ground up.

The flowers may be the final product, but these moments are the real reason behind it all.

Now if only he worked for snacks and not union wages. šŸ˜‚

The sun is finally shining, the ground is finally hard enough, and we officially moved the raised beds into their new home. šŸŒžšŸŒ±

I said this year was going to look a little different around here… and this is part of that pivot.

We’re leaning heavily into the peonies and scaling back some of the summer annuals — not because we’re stepping away from flowers, but because we’re trying to grow smarter for this season of life.

There will still be plenty of beautiful blooms growing here this summer, enough for those signature bouquets you all know and love, just in a way that feels a little more manageable and intentional for our family right now.

The farm may look a little different this year, but the heart behind it hasn’t changed one bit. šŸ«¶šŸ»

Somewhere between the muddy boots, tiny gloves, and handfuls of weeds is the sweetest kind of childhood. 🌱✨

These flowers are grown with more than sunshine and water — they’re grown with family, patience, little helping hands, and a whole lot of love. Watching Cashel work beside me in the rows makes peony season feel even more special somehow. (He helped with planting every root 3 years ago)

Good things take time… and these blooms are going to be so worth the wait.

Hi friends šŸ’

Quick update—That Flower Stand on Forty-Eight won’t be open for Mother’s Day this year.

This season is all about pivoting. I didn’t plant the tulips you’re used to seeing this time of year—life with the boys (sports, school, all of it) is just full in the best way right now.

Instead, I’m focusing on growing peonies šŸŒøā€”they’ll take time, but they’ll be worth it.

The flowers are still coming… just a little later than usual.

Thank you for always reaching out and supporting the stand šŸ¤

There’s just something about flowers for me. I’ve always loved planting them, cutting them, sharing them, and finding little ways to bring joy to others through them. And on Earth Day, that feels even more meaningful.

Everything is packaged up and ready to head to school tomorrow for the Hall boys’ classrooms. A little piece of That Flower Stand on Forty-Eight, shared with some very special little hands. I’ve always loved doing something extra for their classrooms, and I guess this is one of those traditions I’ll keep carrying on for as long as I can.

Maybe someday they’ll look back and realize just how much heart, time, and work their mom put into all these little things. But for now, I just hope these seed packs spark a little excitement, a little wonder, and maybe help grow a love for flowers, pollinators, and caring for the Earth.

Here’s to flowers, Earth Day, and doing the little things that make life feel beautiful. šŸŒŽšŸŒ¼šŸ’›

There might not be much sun in the sky… but hey, it’s not raining šŸ™ŒšŸ¼

And around here that means one thing — time to get to work on the new roadside stand.

Today’s crew:
Aunt CC + her Hall Boy helpers šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

Lots of hands, a little bit of chaos, and a whole lot of love. Exactly how we like it.

This stand is already becoming what this has always been about — family, teamwork, and building something together.

Slowly but surely… it’s all coming to life.

This was the first fall in four years that I didn’t plant tulips.

Between life and this hockey schedule, I know I made the right call — but wow, did it make me miss these blooms.

Funny how spring 2026 hasn’t even happened yet around here, and flower farmers are already planning for Spring 2027. 🌷

Always dreaming ahead.
Always one season ahead.
And apparently… always a little in love with tulips. 🌷

šŸ“£COMMUNITY CALL: LET’S SHOW UP AGAIN, OSWEGO

Did you know nearly 4,000 children in Oswego County face food insecurity on the weekends/and school breaks?

While many of these kids receive meals during the school week, weekends, and school breaks can be uncertain. That’s where Blessings in a Backpack – Oswego steps in—currently providing food every weekend to 425 local children across our schools.

Right now, they’ve put out an urgent call:
🄣 200+ boxes of cereal needed before Spring Break

And if there’s one thing this community has proven… it’s that we show up.

Through the Oswego Minor Hockey Association, we were introduced to this incredible organization during the Mite Before Christmas Tournament—and thanks to the generosity of families, players, and local supporters, that year became the largest donation the tournament had ever received.

Let’s do it again.

If you’re able, please consider donating:
šŸ“ Drop-off location: Oswego YMCA
šŸ“… Deadline: Before Saturday
🄣 Most needed: Boxed cereal

Every single box makes a difference for a child right here in our community.

At RCR Dumpsters, we believe in taking care of our neighbors—on and off the job site. This is one small way we can all help carry a little extra weight for families who need it most.

Let’s rally together, Oswego šŸ’™

Feet of lake effect snow.
A buried flower stand.
And one little seed catalog bringing all the hope.

Oswego winters are no joke, but this right here is my reminder that the thaw always comes… and so do the flowers.

Dear summer me: please remember this moment before you complain about weeds.
