Last Thursday, we had the opportunity to bring our team together for our annual Midwest Landscapes Spring Kickoff Party.

After wrapping up work, our employees gathered for an afternoon filled with great food, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs. The owners fired up the grill and served cheeseburgers and brats, while Anthony stepped into the role of Midwest Landscapes DJ and karaoke host for the day.

We quickly learned that we have quite a few singers (and maybe even a few rock stars!) on our team. The energy was outstanding, the camaraderie was even better, and it was great to see everyone enjoying time together outside of their normal day-to-day responsibilities.

Congratulations to Bill and Pete from our Irrigation Division for taking home the championship in this year's bean bags tournament!

Events like this remind us how fortunate we are to have such a dedicated and hardworking team. The success of Midwest Landscapes is built on the effort, professionalism, and commitment our employees demonstrate throughout the year, and this was a small way for us to show our appreciation.

To everyone on our team—thank you for everything you do. We truly appreciate your hard work and are grateful to have such a strong group of people representing Midwest Landscapes every day.

Here's to another great season ahead!

This is where the work comes to life.

Our installation team has been making great progress on this commercial landscape project. A lot goes into transforming a site from plans on paper to what you see here—coordination, precision, and a team that takes pride in the details.

Proud of the crew getting it done out in the field.

The season is officially underway at Midwest Landscapes.

This week our lawn maintenance crews were rolling out across the metro, kicking off spring cleanups and the first round of fertilizer applications.

There’s nothing better than seeing the entire team lined up and heading out—ready to get back in the field and take care of the properties we service.

We’ve put in the time preparing equipment, planning routes, and getting everything in place for a strong start to the season. Now it’s go time.

We’re proud of the team we have and the work they’re ready to put in.

Here’s to a great season ahead.

This time of year in Minnesota always keeps us on our toes.

As we transition from snow operations to the lawn maintenance season, our team is busy pulling equipment out of the field, turning everything over, and getting ready to hit the ground running. At the same time, we’re keeping a close eye on the weather—because as we all know, a late-season snowfall can still show up when you least expect it.

Balancing both seasons at once takes planning, flexibility, and a lot of teamwork.

That’s why last Thursday, we brought together our 13 crew leaders for our Annual Spring Maintenance Kickoff.

We spent time aligning on:
• Season expectations
• Production & efficiency
• Quality standards
• Equipment responsibilities
• Route ownership
• Safety protocols
• Culture & leadership
• Communication standards
• Office-to-field logistics
More importantly, it was a chance to get everyone on the same page, reconnect as a team, and share a few laughs along the way.

We’re fortunate to have such a strong group of leaders heading into the season, and we’re looking forward to what’s ahead—just as soon as the weather decides to cooperate.

Safety is a top priority for our team at Midwest Landscapes.

This week, 12 of our team members completed CPR & First Aid Certification through the American Red Cross.

In our line of work, being prepared matters. From working with equipment to being out on job sites every day, having the knowledge and confidence to respond in an emergency is critical.

We’re proud of our team for taking the time to invest in this training and for their commitment to keeping each other—and the communities we serve—safe.

56 Years of Precision, Planning, and Progress

While we keep a close watch on the upcoming snow forecast, the team at Midwest Landscapes is firmly focused on the horizon. Spring in Minnesota requires more than just readiness; it demands relentless planning and organizational discipline to set the stage for a successful season.

2026 marks our 56th year in business. Our Maintenance Division isn't just looking at next week—we are building a scalable plan of action for 2026 and beyond.

This Thursday, we are thrilled to welcome back our Maintenance Crew Leaders for our Annual Spring Kickoff. This "meeting of the minds" ensures we are aligned on our standards and reminds us to lean into the idea that great results are born from hard work, curiosity, and that “childlike” spirit of experimentation to find a better way.

We’re proud to recognize five members of the Midwest Landscapes, Inc. team who recently completed the Smart Salting for Property Management Certification through the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

This training focuses on best practices for winter salt application, helping contractors reduce environmental impact while still maintaining safe properties for the communities we serve.

Continuing education and professional development are important parts of our culture at Midwest Landscapes. Our team is always working to strengthen their knowledge and stay current on best practices within the green industry.

Congratulations to the team members who completed the program, and thank you for your commitment to continually improving the way we serve our clients and communities.

Yesterday our office team had the chance to step away from the desks for a few hours and try something a little different… curling! 🥌

We spent the morning learning the basics, throwing a few stones, and sharing plenty of laughs as a group.

A big thank you to the team at Four Seasons Curling Center for hosting us and doing such a great job walking us through the sport.

Afterwards, we wrapped up the day with lunch together and some good conversation.

We’re fortunate to have a great group of people here at Midwest Landscapes, and it’s always nice to take a little time to connect outside of the day-to-day work. Had a great time with this crew.
