Another great night at the race track!
Night #4 in the books for The John 3:16 Race Team as Flat Rock Speedway hosted a rare Friday night event with the legend cars in action. After scratching our heads with inconsistent tires, we finally got The R&K INDUSTRIES, American Legion Post 514 Ida MI Ford comfortable enough for BANJO Man to drive by feature time. Qualifying 8th at 11:46 (a personal best for RJ) he lined up outside pole alongside wiley Veteran, Joe Hawes. After a second restart due to cars making contact, (eliminating Stan Yee Jr, ) the A&D Auto Parts & Repair car cleared Joe and lead the field until lap 25 when perennial front runner, Paul Pelletier made the pass for the top spot and cruised to his 3rd win of the season. A late race caution bunched the field and gave RJ one last shot -- but the faster #44 prevailed, and put the #8 Ford in 2ND PLACE! The heat race action saw the DB Construction & Concrete car finish 3, so overall we had a great nite of competition. Many thanks to our help for stepping up to cover for missing crew chief KEITH Nelson that was in action at PALMYRA Speedway racing with grandson MASON. Bill, Chris, Randy, Matt..you guys are The Best, and Tiffany, the pizza an chick Fila hit the spot! Before closing, a tip of the hat to Paul PELLETIER for the kind words of encouragement he gave us and the crowd in his interview with announcer Gary Lindahl in victory lane. As every competitor knows, this stuff is hard! The commitment, sacrifice, and money is unreal. We're trying hard to have some success. Along the way we will make mistakes, but at the end of the day we"re just trying to have some fun and gain some respect,,, We all here at John 3:16 Racing respect what Paul and his Limelight team continue to accomplish. Now it's time for a donut and a cup of Coffee from DaCapo Coffee, Everyone have a GREAT week, and from JOHN 3:16 RACING ,,, GOD BLESS.........☝️
