It’s SOOO hot out there! In fact, we can’t think of a better time to take a short vacation. As we typically do around this time each year, we’ll be taking the next two weeks off to spend time with family and recharge a bit.

While we won’t be set up at the Vance County Regional Farmers Market on Saturdays, we’re happy to work with you if there’s something you need so please reach out to us!

When we return in August we’ll be looking forward to starting fall vegetable starts, continuing to provide amazing NC natives, and gearing up for a great second half of the season with pork, chicken, eggs, and honey - all fresh!

We probably shouldn't be surprised, but we again are overwhelmed by the support we received at the Bee Jubilee this past weekend! We loved having quite a number of you return to our booth and share that the natives you purchased last year are thriving this year. We loved hearing that the pork or chicken you purchased was delicious...or even that you just loved the samples we gave out. Most of all, we loved having you support the many small businesses, local vendors, and especially the native wildlife and habitat during . Look forward to doing it even bigger and better next year!

And for those who are in the area, please reach out if you're ever in need of anything or just come see us at the Vance County Regional Farmers Market every Saturday from 8am-1pm.

St. Johns Wort (Hypericum frondosum) is a native shrub that produces these gorgeous, intricate yellow blooms that attract pollinators.

Native plants provide many benefits:
- Protective cover for many animals.
- Seeds, nuts, and fruits for squirrels and other mammals.
- Seeds, fruits, and insects for birds.
- Nectar for hummingbirds and butterflies.
- Larval host plants for butterfly caterpillars.
- AND BEST OF ALL, they grow well and require less maintenance in the right environment

Come see our booth at the BEE JUBILEE on Saturday from 9am-3pm for this shrub or many other NC natives!!
