Nice festive shot that I instantly recognized. we rebuilt this along with 4 others in my neighbor’s home. This is the walk-in Kitchen fireplace that probably made breakfast for George Washington back when he stayed there overnight! 1700’s fireplaces didn’t have separate chimneys for the ovens .. they used the same chimney accessed by the throat chamber.
They did a wonderful job decorating it .

This discovery I made is why self ordained Rumford Gurus don’t like me!
I expose and improve there long bragged 1:20 throat ratio to up to 1:50 +.
