Every home has a story and every detail should be intentional.

At Nested Bro & Co., I believe great design is about more than creating beautiful spaces. It’s about understanding how you live, solving design challenges before they become costly mistakes, and creating a home that feels timeless for years to come.

Whether you’re building a custom home, renovating an existing space, or simply don’t know where to start, I’m here to guide you through the process with thoughtful design, curated selections, and personalized service.

I’m also looking to build lasting relationships with custom home builders, contractors, architects, and other industry professionals who value collaboration and craftsmanship. Together, we can create a seamless experience for clients from concept to completion.

If you’ve been thinking about starting a project or you’re a builder looking for a trusted design partner I’d love to connect.

📩 Send me a message and let’s create something beautiful together.

Your home doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s to be beautiful. The best interiors aren’t built by chasing every trend they’re created by layering pieces you genuinely love. Individual style will always outlast whatever is trending. ✨🏡

Dearest gentle reader… 💌

In honor of the newest season of Bridgerton, I couldn’t resist putting together a few color stories inspired by the houses we love most.

✨ House Bridgerton: soft blues, airy elegance, timeless romance
🌿 House Featherington: bold greens + gilded drama, always a statement
🌹 House Danbury: rich reds, regal warmth, pure power

Each palette feels like stepping straight into the ton, velvet textures, ornate patterns, and a little bit of scandal in the best way.

Which house would your home belong to? 👑

✨ Decorator vs. Interior Designer: What’s the Difference? ✨

This question comes up a lot, so let’s break it down:

A decorator focuses on how a space looks.
Think: furniture, color palettes, styling, finishes, and making a room feel pulled together.

An interior designer focuses on how a space functions and how it looks.

Design goes deeper than aesthetics. It includes:
📐 Space planning & layouts
🚪 Building codes & safety considerations
🛠 Construction knowledge & coordination
📏 Technical drawings and specifications
🏛 Creating spaces that support how you live or work

And here’s an important piece many people don’t realize:
Interior design is a licensed and regulated profession in many states. Designers often complete formal education, professional training, and in some cases must pass qualifying exams in order to practice commercially. Typically a bachelors at a credited university.

In short:
🖼 Decorators enhance a space.
📐 Designers transform and plan a space with both beauty and function in mind.

Both have value but they serve different purposes.

If you’re investing in a space that needs more than styling… Interior design is where the full picture comes together. 🤍

Why Hiring an Interior Designer Is Important

Cost Saving
Believe it or not, part of the job is to save you money by applying trade knowledge to your space. There’s nothing worse than investing in furniture that’s too large, poorly scaled, or upholstered in a fabric that doesn’t fit your lifestyle (because no, fabrics are not all durable). Another major advantage? Access to designer sourced products and materials that aren’t available to the general public which often means better quality and longer-term value.

Time Saving
Designing your space can be fun… but it can also be incredibly time-consuming. Between researching products, comparing materials, measuring, and second-guessing decisions, the process can quickly become overwhelming. Having a trusted designer means you’re not scrolling through thousands of options. Instead, you’re presented with 2- 3 well vetted choices that make sense for your space, budget, and lifestyle allowing you to move forward confidently and efficiently.

Balance of Functionality & Style
A space should look beautiful but it also needs to work. Furniture placed incorrectly can disrupt traffic flow. A stunning hardwood staircase may need a runner to reduce slipping. Even lighting placement can affect how a room feels and functions.
Design is about creating spaces that support how you live, not just how they photograph.

Avoiding Costly Mistakes
Small decisions can have expensive consequences. From incorrect measurements to mismatched finishes or impractical materials, mistakes add up quickly. A designer helps anticipate issues before they happen, protecting your investment and keeping the project on track.

Cohesion & Long-Term Vision
Design isn’t just about individual pieces it’s about how everything works together. A designer ensures your space feels cohesive now and adaptable as your needs evolve, instead of pieced together over time without a clear plan.

2026 Trends without chasing trends.
A well designed home isn’t built in a year. It’s layered slowly, collected intentionally, and shaped by the people who live in it.

Trends will come and go. Taste evolves. But comfort, craftsmanship, and meaning never go out of style.

Design for living. Design for longevity.

Fabric choice isn’t just about color or texture it’s about how your furniture lives with you.

Soft enough to sink into. Durable enough for real life. Beautiful enough to never feel compromised.

The right upholstery fabric balances comfort and longevity, so your pieces feel just as good years from now as they did on day one. Because luxury should be lived in not tiptoed around.
