What do you see wrong here? Well, if you guessed Thermal Bridging, you are correct. It has been known to be called ghosting or stud shadowing. In this particular case, the house was framed with metal studs. They are acting as thermal bridges and transferring a temperature difference through the studs to the wall. In this case probably cold studs to a hot wall that is in the Florida sun all day. This can cause condensation to accumulate along the stud lines, which attracts dust and soot resulting in dark vertical streaks.
