WHEN A TEAM BECOMES A FAMILY, AMAZING THINGS HAPPEN!

In the aftermath of Hurricane Isaias, our community has faced some incredibly difficult challenges. But through it all, we have also witnessed some truly beautiful acts of kindness, compassion, and neighbors helping neighbors.

Recently, one of our team members brought a heartbreaking situation to our attention. An elderly couple in our community had been without power for two long weeks following the hurricane. A tree had fallen onto their home, and FPL was unable to reconnect their electricity until the tree was removed.

What made this situation even more heartbreaking was that the wife is bedridden due to her disabilities, and her husband is her primary caregiver. After two weeks without electricity, this family desperately needed a helping hand.

That's when our DeGraaf Systems family stepped up! 💙

Without hesitation, we pulled together a crew of willing volunteers, loaded up our trucks and equipment, and headed over to help. These gentlemen may be electricians by trade, but they proved that their talents extend far beyond electrical work. They rolled up their sleeves, worked together, and helped remove the tree so this couple could move one step closer to having their power restored.

At DeGraaf Systems, we often talk about teamwork, integrity, and taking care of one another. But moments like these are when those values truly shine. It's not just about the work we do every day. It's about the hearts of the people who make up our company and their willingness to make a difference in someone's life.

Today we’re celebrating Morgan’s first year with the DeGraaf Systems family, and what an incredible year it has been From day one, Morgan has brought a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine eagerness to learn. She is about to complete her first year in the Electrical Apprenticeship Program at Locklin Technical College, and we couldn’t be more proud of everything she has accomplished. Her dedication to learning the trade and continually growing has made her an invaluable part of our team. Morgan, thank you for your hard work, your commitment to excellence, and for the positivity you bring to DeGraaf Systems each day. Today we're celebrating Matthew Ojeda and his first year with the DeGraaf Systems family! After graduating from Milton High School in 2025, Matthew joined our team as a Fire & Security Technician, and what an incredible first year it has been. He has embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and develop his skills, quickly becoming someone our team can count on. No matter the challenge, Matthew approaches it with a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to do whatever is needed. His dedication, dependability, and eagerness to learn have made him a tremendous asset to our company, and we're excited to see all that he'll accomplish in the years ahead. Matthew, thank you for your hard work, your positive attitude, and the example you set each day. We are grateful to have you as part of the DeGraaf Systems family. For nearly two years, Mathew has consistently demonstrated what it means to have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to excellence. Whether he's working with our Communications Division or our Electrical Division, he is always willing to step up, learn something new, and give his best effort. Mathew is also preparing to complete his second year in the Electrical Apprenticeship Program at Locklin Technical College, and we're incredibly proud of the dedication he's shown to growing both personally and professionally. His eagerness to learn, reliability, and willingness to help wherever needed have made him a tremendous asset to our team. This past Friday, the DeGraaf Systems team came together for our Second Quarter Company Meeting, and what an incredible afternoon it was! These quarterly meetings are more than just reviewing numbers. They're about growing together as a team, celebrating our successes, sharpening our skills, and making sure we're all moving in the same direction. Our Owner and Visionary, James DeGraaf, continued rolling out our EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) vision, helping our team understand where we're headed and how each person plays a vital role in our future. Darwin Franklin, our Head of Operations, shared operational updates and encouraged our team as we continue building on the momentum of a strong year. Our Finance Manager, Kelly Coates, reviewed our second quarter financials and celebrated what God has done through the hard work and dedication of our entire team. The results are a testament to the commitment and perseverance of every employee. Stephen Moffatt, our Assistant Project Manager, led an informative CMMC compliance training session, helping ensure we continue meeting the highest standards while serving our government and commercial customers. Of course, no DeGraaf Systems meeting would be complete without sharing a great meal together and wrapping up the day with plenty of laughter during our team-building activities! We're incredibly grateful for each member of the DeGraaf Systems family. Thank you for your hard work, positive attitudes, and commitment to excellence. We can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store!
