Our daughter turned 8 and for her birthday we took a family trip to Disneyland! Between online bookings for flights, rental cars and airfare, topped off by in-park purchases made on essentials like mouse ears, churros and sparkly sweatshirts… our personal identity was out and about online. Fortunately we have They keep us feeling secure so we can worry about the important things like what time the parade starts, and they can worry about keeping us safe from identity theft.

Rearranged the living room before we left for Tallula’s birthday trip to make the most of some new Arhaus pieces we got to compliment our Kipton sofa (most comfortable sofa ever btw). The stripe accent chairs, velvet coffee table ottoman, mantel mirror along with some tchotchkes give this room the coziest fall feeling. I’m obsessed with Arhaus; the quality is incredible, the look is timeless and little by little we’re filling the home with items from them. (not sponsored but items generously gifted)

I don’t think I have ever posted a tribute on my feed when a celebrity has passed away. Not because I am unmoved by their loss, but because I’m so far removed from them, as a fan, it feels like me publicly sharing in the grief is not my place. But in this case I find myself deeply saddened. I think it’s much to do with the fact that I grew up on Diane Keaton films, watching them with my late Mom. Father of the Bride (1&2), Baby Boom, The Family Stone, The Other Sister, Because I Said So, Something’s Gotta Give, First Wives Club etc. There is not a single one of her films I watched where my mom wasn’t watching alongside me. So in a strange way losing Diane feels like losing a piece of my Mom again. The movies live on, the memories remain- but both women who made them magic for me, are gone. When grief asks for our attention we need to honor that, and it asked for my attention today. Rest in peace Diane you will be so missed, say hi to my Mom for me xx

Our Eternity Landscape and Accent Lights have CHANGED THE GAME for our holiday displays!! Not only are they gorgeous with their warm glow during the non-seasonal part of the year, but the massive amount of settings and colors they are able to do make them an insanely cool addition to our holiday setups! We did KPop Demon Hunters this year and our Enbrighten lights took it from a cool display to a show stopper. Bathroom progress! So much has happened over the past month and a half. If you’re a story viewer you’ve already seen all of this, but it definitely felt like time to update the main feed on the renovation status as well.

Pacific Grove is magic. The small town-ness of it all was on full display during the butterfly parade yesterday. The quiet streets suddenly full of kids in handmade costumes, hearing their names be cheered by family and friends. The same voices they hear call their names regularly suddenly feeling like the cheers of adoring fans. The organized chaos, silliness and laughter was a much needed day of joy in a time when things feel anything but joyful. Grateful to call this special place our home.
