Garage exterior update, the trellis has been built. So excited about this. The plan has always been to build this trellis so a climbing rose can grow over it and help bring some color and life to this big blank wall. Lots more to do, but it’s all happening! Eeek.

After nearly 3 weeks of silence we’re back! I had surgery and have been recovering, so we took time off for that! But progress did happen on the garage prior to the surgery and I was finally was able to put this reel together for you. More work will continue this upcoming week; thanks for your patience with us and this project, we know it’s been slow 🫶🏼

Paint colors: Dark Brunswick Green and Ambleside from Little Green Paint

New project alert… if you’re a story watcher you have seen all of this unfolding over these past few weeks, but we have decided it’s high time we update the feed on the progress. We are at the paint stage and then we start getting to add the pretty bits- lighting, plantings, fireplace etc. so excited!

Part 3 of 3… nope!!! It’s now part 3 of 4. Yes this was supposed to be a three part series and I failed, I’m sorry! I promise you there will only be four parts though!! The caulk phase really got out of hand on this one.

Part 2 of 3? of our bedroom makeover after the wallpaper removal fiasco (see part 1). Hoping we can still get this done in 3 parts now that I’ve added the ceiling to the scope of work 😬 I think we can; I have faith in us (and by us I mostly mean Matt).

Number one question about this renovation: “What is that cabinet color”? Answer: Ivy, and comes directly from who generously these incredible cabinets to my brother in law and his family. And trust me the color is just as incredible in person as it is online! These cabinets from Cabinet Corp were the catalyst to the design- dark green cabinetry is what the homeowner wanted and Cabinet Corp made it happen. They also worked with us to capture as much storage and function as possible for the homeowner. With two entry points and a very small footprint, getting creative with layout and storage was essential. They were incredible at working with us to make that happen and the homeowner could not be happier with how it looks and works for them!

Also because people always ask- the door that we removed was a side door that led to the driveway. They still have a garage door that leads out to the garage and same driveway and a front door. The side door was unnecessary and removing it meant we could just enough additional counter to house a built in dishwasher
