Confession of a Handyman’s Wife: I stole the handyman for the day😄

Instead of working on someone else’s project, I convinced Jack to turn an old pallet into a raised garden bed for me.

A few hours later, I had a place for my tomatoes, zucchini, and cucumbers to live🌱

By the way, I’m Molly Wolfe, Jack’s wife. You’ll probably see me popping in here from time to time to share some of Jack’s projects, along with a few of the ones I talk him into doing around the Wolfe Den 🐺

Built a second-story catio this week for some very lucky cats!

Bird surveillance, squirrel monitoring, sunbathing, and fresh mountain air access are now fully operational 🐈

Pretty cool setup for keeping indoor cats safe while still letting them enjoy the outdoors.

Wrapped up a fun custom project this week building and installing cedar planter boxes for the Galles Properties office on Main Street in downtown Pagosa Springs.

These were built from cedar, custom fit beneath the front windows, and stained to complement the existing wood tones on the building.

Before & after fascia repair

Had some weathered and failing fascia that needed attention—got everything cleaned up, replaced, and sealed back up properly.

Typically I would prime and paint before calling a job like this finished, but in this case I was brought in last-minute ahead of a full exterior paint job already scheduled.

It’s one of those things that’s easy to overlook, but it plays a big role in protecting your roofline from moisture and long-term damage.

Hidden dryer vent problem I fixed this week.

This dryer was blowing hot air and lint straight into the crawlspace instead of venting outside — which can lead to moisture damage, mold, and even fire risk over time.

I connected the duct properly so it now vents outside where it should.

Sometimes the small fixes prevent the big problems.
