Okay so the first two photos are AI — I thought it'd be fun to see what he'd look like out in the wild. The white background shots are just me with the eraser tool. The rest is all real life, and he's pretty photogenic either way.
The bog area is about 8 inches across and he's currently planted up with Sarracenia, sundews, and a Pinguicula marciano. Fully planted and ready to go — not just a planter, an actual little ecosystem.
Every sale right now helps me keep rebuilding, and I mean that in the most non-guilt-trippy way possible. This one's priced to reflect the work and the plants that went into it.

Still here. Still fighting. And still needing a little help. 🌱

I know I posted about this before, so I'll keep it short and just add what I didn't say last time:

Over the years I've helped a lot of people get started selling carnivorous plants. Shared knowledge, shared contacts, shared time. Never once thought twice about it because that's just what you do for your community. I'd do it again tomorrow for any of you.

So yeah — it's a little humbling to be the one asking right now. But here I am.

Jake's Plants took a serious hit from storm damage on top of an herbicide drift that already cut us in half. I've reached out to folks across this hobby — big and small. Some came through immediately, no hesitation, and I will never forget that. Others went quiet. That's okay. People are busy. Life is complicated. I get it.

But I'm not done asking, because Jake's Plants isn't done.

I'm genuinely hyped to see what this beast does this growing season — she's pushing almost 6 feet tall and I can't take much credit for it. I put the moss pole together and Hawaii did the rest. Honestly if this plant was anywhere else with me it'd probably be fighting for its life, but out here it's just... thriving like it owns the place. 😄

She's been one of my favorite things to watch grow and I love hearing what you guys are obsessing over right now too!

This beauty is one leaf jump away from showing off like Mama — and trust me, you've seen Mama. The pitchers on this thing are already putting in serious work: bold speckling, great fringe development on the peristome, and that classic warm yellow-green with deep red blotching that makes this cross so sought after.
