Monday through Friday, I work hard every single day. I’m usually at the office by 6:00 in the morning and many nights I don’t leave until 9:00 or 10:00. Running a business means wearing a lot of hats. I handle the marketing, research, repairs, training, problem solving, scheduling, cleaning, and so much more. Every day is different, and every day requires effort.

But this weekend reminded me why all of it matters.

I got to spend real time with my family. I built a house for the iguana with my son, taught him new things, laughed with my kids, and spent quality time with my wife. Those moments are priceless. They are easy to overlook when you’re constantly trying to take care of everyone else, but they matter more than anything.

Owning a business while trying to be a good husband, father, friend, and provider is not easy. It takes a lot out of you. But both are worth fighting for.

What we do at Sliding Door & Window Repair Service Inc. is not something you learn in a classroom. There are no schools that teach this trade the way we practice it. Every technician who comes through our doors has to be trained not just how to repair something, but how to think critically and truly understand why the problem exists in the first place.

We don’t believe in quick fixes. We don’t just replace rollers or balances and move on. We take pride in restoring windows and doors so they work properly again; the same way I would want someone to do for my own family.

I truly love what I do, and every day I try to become better at it.

Tomorrow is Monday, and I’ll be back at the office at 6:00 AM doing my absolute best, just like always. I’m grateful for my family, my team, my friends, and every customer who trusts us enough to call or walk through our doors. I genuinely try to treat every person like they matter ; because they do.

I’m lucky to have two amazing mothers in my life!One who gave me life, and one who’s about to give life to our little blessing. Wishing them both an incredible Mother’s Day.

Mothers do it all. They support us, protect us, inspire us, encourage us, and somehow still manage to keep everyone fed with delicious food. They turn houses into homes and chaos into love.

And let’s be honest, us guys play a very small role in the process. Creating the baby may have been the BEST 30 seconds of my life, but only a mother can turn that tiny spark into a beautiful human being. That’s the real miracle.

May all the amazing moms out there continue being the heart of their families, and may us husbands and dads work hard enough to keep up with all the shopping trips, Target runs, and “quick errands” that somehow cost $300.
