Tip of the day - Experience counts
Its easy to think that water is pumped out of a well since that is the terminology we use. The physics of a shallow well ( non flowing, 0 to 100 feet) would disagree. However this simple misconception cost our customer we are drilling an emergency well for today close to $8000 so far when it most probably would of been under $200 if the person that worked on this house water system had of had the experience and crucial understanding. Service and maintanance are not sales positions, our job is to repair at the lowest cost possible and not replace unless it is warranted, but most importantly we must understsnd how what we are repairing works especially when dealing with the complex physics of water hydraulics and vacuum pump systems. This is not a weekend hobby, it involves a complex balance of knowledge and statistics which can only come from long term experience. So simply replacing 2 pumps, pulling the fixed drop pipe of the well and replacing the pressure tank and still not having water flow and expecting payment is not diagnosis, because those components are rarely the issue, its the parts in between, and its rare for 1 to fail and impossible for all, especially when those parts clearly tell you when they are done. So i implore you to properly vet the person that will be working on your well system and whatever is attached to it and if they start replacing $1000 parts one after the other and tearing wells apart you may want to stop that. It is important you call a licenced well company when your well might be an issue. Its heartbreaking to see this, close to $10 000 spent unnecasarily. You want experience and well drillers know wells and Brevard has excellant drillers and techs, so call your local well driller if your issue is attached to a well. Got a beautiful 33 gpm now we can put the system back together with 2 goulds J10S pumps and have them back to civilization.
