Do you look around after dinner only to realize a tornado called kids has hit your house once again?!?! Does everyone seem nowhere to be found to actually clean all of it up before bed?? I introduce you to THE CLEAN UP PARTY! Fun and gets the job done! The younger you start this, the better! Step one: set a time and location the family will meet each night. Step two: turn on the tunes... LOUD! Step three: set the timer for 10 minutes. Step four: Count down and go! Everyone runs around the house putting things away as quickly as possible. Dance, sing, high five, have fun with it! You’ve got to beat the timer and return to your meeting location before the timer goes off. And the great part about this is they will learn the more things they put away BEFORE the clean up party, the more likely it is they will beat the buzzer! Clean up doesn’t have to be boring and is something everyone in the family is responsible for. Working together to have a happy home is worth it! As part of our services, we can teach your family how to keep the systems going for the long term. With a place for everything and properly labeled containers, maintaining a happy, clean home is totally possible (and maybe a lil’ fun!)!

You don’t need fancy baskets or a ton of cash to get organized! Here you see cardboard containers covered in extra wrapping paper, cupcake tins, and glass jars from everyday food items repurposed for drawer organization. Love it!!!

There are times to use clear containers and times when it is best not to. If we are talking snacks in a home with kids, CLEAR all the way WITH labels. The more “clear” 😉we can make it in order to maintain the organized space for the long haul, the BETTER!

Oh, the dreaded sock drawer! Curse you sock drawer! Now, there’s not much I can do about the washing machine eating your socks so you are left with a whole pile of socks without a match (we see you washing machine 😳!), BUT with a little clever folding trick, your wildest sock drawer dreams can come true! You can even use these folding tricks while packing for your next trip (as soon as Mr. Covid leaves! He’s like the relative who comes for a weekend and stays wayyyyy too long... ugh). How many times have you opened up the linen closet and were treated to an avalanche of comforters and blankets? 🤚 Too many to count here! As kids, one of the popular hiding spots was in our linen closet which required us to destroy the perfect folding system our mother had in place. Sorry Mom! 🙌
